Let Me Live

An eight year old girl diagnosed with debilitating heart condition
A determined soul dreams of success; no time for play and for jokes
She is always in and out of the hospital to correct the defect
Climbs his ladder, rung by rung, he sees where he wants to be
She misses her classes frequently and is always tired
He knows what he has to do, he’s destined for greatness,
With hope, she says, “God, please let me live”
But he screams in his heart, please just let me live
join my club, I can’t talk
make my day, I can’t walk
never come late, I’m not free yet
just be there, but Let me live
